Write 50,000 words in the month of November and win prizes along the way!
November is National Novel Writing Month, so we'll be hosting a friendly competition at the Forest Library. The goal? Make it to 50,000 words.
Use this website as a landing page for everything you may need. There will be guides, links to free writing resources, access to group chats for community (one for teens and one for adults), and reminders of event dates.
We will be using TrackBear to keep track of our word counts throughout the competition. This is a free app that can be utilized after the competition is done if you like to keep track of time spent writing, word count, and other helpful goals.
There will be a leaderboard to show everyone's progress throughout November. In order to get your prizes, totals must be entered into TrackBear for us to monitor. To join the Forest NaNo leaderboard, click the button below or use the join code 8c8da505-1cc4-44f3-b839-2cefec562976.
If for any reason you're unable to use TrackBear, you can email your word count to Briana or send it through one of the group chats.
We'll have a couple of events and meet-ups to promote community with the other writers in the competition. Please be sure to register if you plan to attend any of the events so we have an appropriate headcount.
